Our little Hudson is 6 months old! Half a year! How time flies! Hudson is doing good - he has grown so much. Right now he is sitting up by himself and can get in a push up position on his belly to precrawl. He just loves to jump, jump, jump - either you holding him or in his jumperoo! He likes to make zerbert noises and does a really funny laugh that kind of sounds like a gun firing. He loves his baby food so far - we have done the veggies and have started fruit. Hudson has started to take notice of Dakota - will laugh at him and smile. Lilly likes to help us with Hudson - she likes to help feed him (we hold the spoon too) and also with baths, she can bath his feet and legs. We so love our little guy, what a special place he has knit himself into in my heart.

I have not posted much this month, I think just pure old laziness, but here's what's going on.
Mother's Day was good! We went to church and Brian and I worked in Hudson's class with all the babies. We has a nice BBQ lunch and BB, Brian's grandmother came over for the afternoon. We had fun visiting and Lilly entertained us all. I am so fortunate to be a mommy and loved my first mother's day with our little Hudson.
We visited with Brian's parents in Pearland last weekend. We had a great time outdoors - Lilly went with papa to give the horses their feed and ran all over the yard, picked wildflowers, picked yummy black berries (she came back with her bucket of berries and was all purple and sticky - such a country girl at heart!) and we got to see Aunt Bethy, Uncle Johnny, and Ruthie. They just moved back here from Abilene. Hudson enjoyed his Nina and Papa time too and enjoys the outdoors just at much as his sister.
Hudson had started eating baby food - he likes carrots, green peas, and sweet potatoes so far - seems to like it all - I think he always wants more when we are done. He sits up all by himself now!

Hudson is 5 months old now! He is growing so much and is so much fun! He is on a great schedule with feeding and sleeping and is pretty much content in between - he just takes it all in. Hudson can hold all kinds of objects (loves little plastic rings to chew on) and everything goes in his mouth if he gets ahold of it. He charms everyone with his wide open mouth smile and has started to really laugh (it is too funny!) He loves his exersaucer and swing and can almost sit by himself now, for a few seconds and then plops over! We started rice cereal and oatmeal - oatmeal is the preference so far, he is really not too enthused about either so far.
Hudson had a baby dedication/parent commitment service at church last Sunday - he did so good - just chewed on his fingers the whole time! Our families came to support us at the service and also went out to eat afterward - we had a fun day! Aunt Bethy, Uncle Johnny and Ruthie even got to spend the night with us!
We also had our last home visit from our social worker yesterday to complete our adoption process. It is so strange to think we were just in the beginning stages of adoption last year. The last step will be to go to court the beginning of June to finalize.
